Deep in the recesses of Buffalo’s Alumni Arena Tuesday night, the University of Toledo men’s basketball celebrated a share of the Mid-American Conference championship in the visiting locker room.
But the jamboree didn’t get too lively — the Rockets have unfinished business.
“I want back-to-back outrights. That’s what I hear,” Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said when asked about UT winning consecutive MAC titles for the first time in 41 years. “I don’t hear anything else.”
If the Rockets finish the job and beat Bowling Green on Friday, they will capture two straight outright MAC championships for the first time in program history.
