The 66 points scored by the University of Toledo football team against Bowling Green on Wednesday night were the most points scored by the Rockets in the history of the Battle of I-75 rivalry.
When all was said and done, Toledo broke open a close game at halftime with 28 third-quarter points and 42 total points in the second half of a 66-37 win.
It was the eighth straight victory for Toledo over its rival, which means this year’s Rockets’ senior class will graduate without ever losing to Bowling Green.
“It’s a great feeling,” UT senior quarterback Logan Woodside said.
