The University of Toledo football team has had a trip to the Motor City circled on its calendar since spring practices. After months of hard work in the offseason and a long, grueling Mid-American Conference season, the Rockets are headed to Ford Field for the MAC championship game on Saturday against Akron.
With a 37-10 win over Western Michigan on Friday, Toledo (10-2, 7-1 MAC) claimed an outright MAC West title for the first time since 1998 and will play in the MAC title game for the first time since 2004.
