Former University of Toledo defensive tackle Darius Alexander was drafted by the New York Giants with the first pick of the third round of the NFL draft Friday. Watching from home in Fort Wayne, Ind., the second-team All-MAC selection received the much-anticipated phone call from New York as the pick was made.
The Giants posted a video of the call from their draft war room, where general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll shared the good news:
