University of Toledo wide receiver Cody Thompson will return to play for the Rockets for a fifth year after missing most of the 2017 season with a leg injury.
Thompson announced his decision to return next year on Twitter.
Thompson broke his leg early in the Eastern Michigan game, the fifth game of the season. After four full games and part of the fifth, Thompson had 28 catches for 537 yards and four touchdowns.
He was coming off a record-setting season in 2016 in which he set a single-season receiving yards mark with 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns.
