UT women's golf hosting MAC championships at Stone Oak

Stone Oak Country Club will welcome the Mid-American Conference women’s golf teams to northwest Ohio this week.

The 54-hole event begins Friday, with 18 holes on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Admission is free and live scoring is available at golfstat.com.

The Springfield Township course has a long history in the women’s game, having served as the first host of what is now the Dana Open presented by Marathon. The Jamie Farr Toledo Classic was contested at what was then called Glengarry Country Club from 1984-88 before moving to Highland Meadows.

Kent State is the only school to win the MAC championship in the event’s 22-year history, and the Golden Flashes are the favorite to win this season.
