DETROIT – The University of Toledo women’s basketball team finished the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 9-3 record after claiming an 81-64 victory at Detroit-Mercy Thursday.
Olivia Cunningham, who did not play in the West Palm Invitational in West Palm Beach, Fla., to serve a two-game suspension for an undisclosed violation of team rules, led four Rockets in double figures with 19 points.
Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott finished with 17 points, Kaayla McIntyre had 14 and Mikaela Boyd 11 for UT.
Brianne Cohen scored 21 points to lead Detroit (0-11), which is coached by former Toledo assistant Bernard Scott, while Lexey Tobel added 11 for the Titans.
