University of Toledo football coach Jason Candle said Friday senior center Bryce Harris has suffered a knee injury and will miss the 2019 season.
Harris was a second-team All-Mid-American Conference performer last season and was a preseason candidate this season for the Rimington Award given to the nation’s top center.
With 30 career starts, Harris was expected to be the leader of the offensive line this season and his absence will test the depth of Toledo’s offensive line as a unit
Candle acknowledged Harris will be a tough guy to replace.
“That’s a big blow for our football team and our offensive front,” Candle said.
