If the 2020 college football season panned out as scheduled, on Saturday the University of Toledo would have played its first game of the year, a road contest against Tulsa.
That fact wasn’t lost on quarterback Eli Peters.
“We're supposed to be playing a game this Saturday,” Peters told The Blade in a phone interview. “It's funny I said that this morning to Carter [Bradley], DQ [Dequan Finn] and the rest of the QB room.”
In an alternate timeline, we would also already know who the Rockets’ starting quarterback is; but with the Mid-American Conference canceling its 2020 fall season on Aug.
