They came dressed to lay the 2021 Toledo football season to rest.
They stayed for a revival.
Call it Four Touchdowns and ... No Funeral.
In what Toledo designated as a “Blackout” game — and with the Rockets and their fans stylishly looking the part Saturday at the Glass Bowl — Toledo flipped the lights back on in a 34-15 thumping of Western Michigan.
With their backs up against it, rather than stumbling backward through the drywall, the Rockets came out slugging, a proud team delivering their most inspired effort of the season.
Give Toledo a ton of credit.
