UT men stumble, lose to Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The University of Toledo lost a 10-point lead in the second half tonight at University Arena and fell to Western Michigan 70-64.

Toledo (17-13, 8-9 Mid-American Conference) was ahead 47-37 before foul trouble on three starters helped WMU (12-18, 6-11) create two runs – one 9-0, one 10-2 – to overtake the lead.

Jonathan Williams scored 21 points to lead Toledo, while Nathan Boothe had 19 and nine rebounds before fouling out.

Tucker Haymond and Thomas Wilder each had 18 for the Broncos.

The Rockets' loss in Kalamazoo was their eighth in nine tries dating to 2008.
