The University of Toledo formally announced the hires of three new assistant coaches today to complete Jason Candle's first coaching staff as the Rockets' head coach.
UT hired Brian Wright as its offensive coordinator, Mike Ward as its linebackers coach, and Brad Bichey as its strength and conditioning coach.
Wright has been an offensive coordinator since 2005, most recently at Florida Atlantic, where he served as interim coach for four games in 2013. A Wooster, Ohio, native, Wright spent four years at FAU following a two-year stay at Montana State and nine seasons at Youngstown State.
His first full-time job in Division I came from former UT defensive coordinator Jon Heacock, then the head coach at YSU.
