The search committee tasked with finding the University of Toledo’s next athletic director set a February deadline for finding Mike O’Brien’s replacement.
Three finalists visited campus this week, according to industry sources, with a statement from UT announcing its selection expected next week.
Austin Peay AD Gerald Harrison, Washington State deputy AD Bryan Blair, and Tom Moreland, Purdue’s senior associate AD for strategic initiatives and the athletic department’s chief revenue officer, each spent a day at UT meeting with university brass, search committee members, and head coaches.
Doug Huffner, Toledo’s associate vice president for risk management and chief risk officer, chaired the search committee, a 10-member group that included university employees, alumni, and local business leaders.
