TOLEDO, Ohio – Junior guard Tyler Cochran was named an Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week on Tuesday for his tremendous performance in the Toledo men's basketball team's 88-87 home victory over Marshall last Wednesday.
Each Tuesday during the regular season, designated USBWA board members select five standouts from the 32 Division I conference players of the week to be recognized.
Cochran exploded for a career-high 33 points and also tallied eight rebounds, five assists and four steals in the Rockets' 88-87 victory over Marshall. Cochran was extremely efficient shooting the ball as well, knocking down 13-of-16 shots (.
