TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo Women's Tennis Head Coach Tracy Mauntler has added another plaque to her wall of achievements for 2024. Mauntler was named the Midwest Region's Wilson/ITA Coach of the Year this week, becoming the first coach from a Mid-American Conference school to earn this regional recognition, as well as the first coach from a mid-major school to earn this award since DePaul's Mark Ardizzone was tabbed for the honor in 2014.
Mauntler was named Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year in 2024, the second year in a row she was so honored. Her squad had a historical 2023-24 season, winning the 2024 MAC Championship Tournament title and a berth into the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship for the first time in school history.
