PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas — Touchdown Toledo.
UT’s Atlas Air Boeing 767 arrived at Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau Monday afternoon after an uneventful 2-hour, 42-minute flight from Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport.
But the journey to the opulent Atlantis Resort was only beginning for the Rockets. It took more than an hour to clear customs before they could make the 12-mile drive in a dozen shuttle buses.
The scenery sure made the wait more palatable.
“Man, what an adventure to get here, and what a great experience to have to finish up your season,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said.
