Fall practices are often used as evaluation periods for coaches to see who will step up and fill certain roles on the team.
This year that is no different for the University of Toledo football team, which still has to decide on who it wants to lead the offense. Here are five position battles worth paying attention to:
1) Quarterback – Junior Mitch Guadagni and sophomore Eli Peters: This is the marquee position battle to watch this offseason. Guadagni has limited game experience after backing up an all-time program great in Logan Woodside. Peters has yet to see the field in game action.
