ANN ARBOR — Toledo’s historic 2022-23 season ended with a streak it hoped to avoid: back-to-back-losses.
The Rockets led for a majority of the first half Tuesday at Michigan but were done in by an 11-0 run to start the second half, failing to draw even or take the lead afterward in a 90-80 loss to the Wolverines in the first round of the NIT.
“Coming in, I really thought we had an opportunity to win against a tremendous Big Ten program,” Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said. “I felt that Michigan would have to play really well against us, and they did.
