Toledo's Rally Falls Short at Kent State, 66-63

KENT, Ohio – Toledo rallied from nine points down in the second half but couldn't hold on in a 66-63 Mid-American Conference defeat to Kent State (6-6, 1-1 MAC) on New Year's Day in the M.A.C. Center.
Sophomore Ryan Rollins led the Rockets (9-4, 1-1 MAC) with 14 points and nine rebounds before fouling out with 30.4 seconds to play. Joining Rollins in double digits were juniors Setric Millner Jr. and JT Shumate with 12 points, while redshirt freshman Ra'Heim Moss tallied 10 points.
Junior guard Sincere Carry topped Kent State with 19 points, despite shooting 5-of-21 from the field and 2-of-12 from three-point range.
