Rather than sit idly and wait for Jason Candle to be poached by a bigger program, the University of Toledo announced Friday it has signed the football coach to a six-year contract extension.
The new contract, which runs through 2023, will reportedly pay Candle an average of $1.2 million per year, according to Yahoo! Sports college reporter Pete Thamel.
