Kent, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's track and field team wrapped up the final day of competition in the 2019 Indoor Track and Field Mid-American Conference Championships today. The Rockets earned three gold medals throughout the week and set six personal records, ending the weekend fourth overall with 69 points.
Day two of competition was highlighted by senior Shanice Williams defending her title in the 60m dash while also setting a new personal record after finishing in 7.37. The Rocket's other two gold medals came on day one from junior Athena Welsh winning the 5K and sophomore Atalia Lima winning the pentathlon.
