University of Toledo women’s basketball has advanced to the WNIT quarterfinals for the first time since 2012.
Toledo (29-5) will face Middle Tennessee State University (26-7) at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Savage Arena. With a win, Toledo would break the program record for victories in a season and advance to face either Alabama or South Dakota State in the semifinals later next week.
The Raiders defeated Vanderbilt 55-53 in the round of 16 to advance. This is Middle Tennessee’s second time in the quarterfinals and first since 2015.
“Any game you play at this point in the season is special,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said.
