ATHENS, Ohio — The University of Toledo women's basketball team erased a 17-point deficit to defeat Ohio 76-73 on Wednesday at the Convocation Center.
The Rockets (20-4, 14-1 MAC) avenged their lone Mid-American Conference loss by coming from behind to defeat the Bobcats on the way to their sixth straight win.
Sophia Wiard, who made a key block in the final minute, was 6 of 7 from the 3-point line en route to 26 points to lead Toledo. Sammi Mikonowicz had 17 points, and Quinesha Lockett scored 15.
Cierra Hooks led Ohio with 25 points, Gabby Burris scored 18, and Madi Mace had 12 points.
