Needless to say, Wednesday night did not go as planned for the Toledo women’s basketball team.
The Rockets traveled 25 miles down I-75 and got ambushed by the Bowling Green Falcons, who bruised and battered UT in the post for 40 minutes. BGSU’s 88-76 victory was a humbling result for Toledo and one that came with several lessons to be learned.
“It’s easy to think everything is all great and perfect when we’re winning,” fourth-year guard Sophia Wiard said. “But when we lose, especially to a team like BG that’s our rival, it hurts a little bit more and it makes you want to get better in the areas that hurt you.
