The University of Toledo made five of its final six shots on Tuesday in Springfield, Mo., but it was too little too late for the Rockets, who were a woeful 27.9 percent from the field in a 60-46 loss at Missouri State.
UT’s Quinesha Lockett, the nation’s No. 13 scorer (20.9 points per game), was limited to zero points on 0-for-7 shooting, six rebounds, three turnovers, and five fouls in 22 minutes.
As a team, the Rockets made 17 of 61 field goal attempts, and they were just two of 16 from 3-point range.
Sophia Wiard had a team-high 11 points for Toledo (6-3), followed by Jayda Jansen’s 10 points.
