KALAMAZOO — Toledo women’s basketball had a banner offensive day at Western Michigan, shooting over 60 percent from the field and over 50 percent from deep to defeat the Broncos 84-69 on Saturday in Mid-American Conference play.
The Rockets, who won for the 11th game in a row, led from start to finish and were up by as much as 27 during the fourth quarter. Ten different players scored for UT, with Quinesha Lockett’s 21 points leading the way.
The first quarter was close, with Western Michigan cutting its deficit to one possession multiple times before Toledo closed the quarter with a 22-16 lead.
