Toledo women win at West Palm Invitational

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The University of Toledo women’s basketball team topped Southern 81-76 on Monday in the second round of the West Palm Invitational.

The Rockets bounced back from a loss to Western Kentucky on Sunday and were able to get back in the win column.

Toledo was balanced on the offensive end with four players in double figures led by a season-high 17 points from senior Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott. Junior Kaayla McInytre added 16 points for the Rockets (8-3), junior Mikaela Boyd scored 15 points, and sophomore Sara Rokkanen chipped in with 14 points.

As a team, the Rockets shot 50 percent (27-of-54) from the field, including 41.
