TOLEDO, Ohio – The three-time defending Mid-American Conference champion Toledo women's cross country team opens its 2024 season on Friday, Aug. 30 when it races in Akron's Tommy Evans Invitational in Norton, Ohio. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Silver Creek Cross Country Course.
Toledo returns seven runners from its 2023 MAC Championship lineup, as well as four other runners who finished in the top eight at the 2022 MACs who did not compete last year. Leading the way is senior Laura Nicholson, a first-team All-MAC honoree in 2023 who took sixth place with a time of 20:50.
