ALLEGANY, N.Y – The University of Toledo women’s basketball team got off to a dominant start and eased to a 58-39 win over St. Bonaventure on Monday night.
The Rockets opened the game by scoring the first 17 points and held a 17-0 lead with 3:14 left in the first quarter after an Olivia Cunningham layup.
For the game, Kaayla McIntyre scored 14 points and grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds to lead Toledo (6-1), while Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott chipped in with 13 points.
Danielle Migliore scored 11 points to pace St. Bonaventure (4-5).
Mikaela Boyd opened the scoring with a layup and then Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott had seven points in the opening run for Toledo, while McIntyre made two free throws and Cunningham scored the last six points of the 17-0 spurt to open the game.
