DEKALB, Ill. — The University of Toledo women's basketball team protected its unblemished Mid-American Conference record with a 73-52 win at Northern Illinois on Saturday.
Quinesha Lockett paced the Rockets (12-3, 6-0 MAC) with 23 points, 18 of those in the first half as Toledo gained a 23-11 edge after one quarter and a 41-23 lead at the half.
Jessica Cook and Sammi Mikonowicz each had 11 points and seven rebounds for Toledo. Sophia Wiard had nine points, nine assists, and three steals.
"Defensively, our team did a really nice job today," Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said.
