For the first time in 2022, the Toledo women’s basketball team lost a game.
The Rockets had an uncharacteristically poor defensive night and missed their final seven shots in a 79-72 loss to Ohio University at Savage Arena, the Rockets’ first home loss since last February.
“I wish we could have pulled this one out,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said. “It’s at home. It stings a little bit more.”
Ohio ended the game on a 15-2 run, coming back from a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit. The Bobcats outscored UT 28-12 in the fourth quarter. Toledo was one for its last 10 and scored two points in the final five minutes.
