AMHERST, N.Y. – In a meeting between the past two Mid-American Conference tournament champions, Buffalo got the best of the University of Toledo women’s basketball team with a 87-69 victory on Saturday at Alumni Arena.
Toledo beat Buffalo in all three meetings last season, including a 72-65 Rockets win in the MAC tournament semifinals. But on Saturday, the Bulls simply had too much offensive firepower for the Rockets.
Cierra Dillard scored a career-high 30 points and recorded six steals as Buffalo (15-3, 6-1 MAC) harassed Toledo into 25 turnovers. Katherine Upps added 14 points for the Bulls.
