Coming off a challenging non-conference slate and a disappointing Mid-American Conference opening loss at Western Michigan, the Toledo women's basketball team was in need of good performance at home against Buffalo.
In search of better first quarter results, the Rockets started strong and never trailed in handing the Bulls a 71-59 loss on Wednesday night at Savage Arena.
“I'm exceptionally proud of our team's effort tonight, especially the start,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said. “We were very disappointed in our start at Western and I thought tonight our kids were extremely focused out of the gate. You could tell they were very hungry for a victory here at home.
