DeKALB, Ill. — The University of Toledo women’s basketball team was guided by Nakiah Black’s 16 points in a 63-51 Mid-American Conference win over Northern Illinois on Saturday at the Convocation Center.
Black was efficient on the floor for Toledo (7-7, 2-1 Mid-American Conference) in just 23 minutes of game action. She made 6 of 10 shots, including 2 of 6 3-pointers.
The Rockets scored 22 points off the bench, and half of those came from Tanaya Beacham. The Rogers High School alumna had 11 points and collected a game-high nine rebounds in 21 minutes.
Quinesha Lockett had 10 points in 30 minutes for the Rockets.
