The University of Toledo football team has accepted a bid to play in the Dollar General Bowl on Dec. 23 in Mobile, Ala.
The Rockets will face Appalachian State in a rematch of last season’s Raycom Media Camellia Bowl, which the Mountaineers won 31-28.
Toledo is 11-2 overall and topped Akron 45-28 in the Mid-American Conference championship game on Saturday.
Toledo is looking to become just the third team in program history to win 12 games in a season, with the others coming in the undefeated seasons of 1970 and 1971.
Appalachian State is 8-4 overall this season and won a Sun Belt Conference co-championship with a 7-1 mark in the conference.
