If you have a must-win road game late in the season to become bowl eligible, there are few places a Mid-American Conference would want to play more than Kent State.
The Golden Flashes (2-8) are assured of their sixth straight losing season; in fact, they nailed down that stat three weeks ago with a loss to Akron. Since 2012, when KSU won 11 games and went to its second bowl game in school history, the Flashes are 16-53.
Toledo visits at 6 p.m. Thursday with a 5-5 record and hopes for a fourth straight bowl appearance and eighth in nine years.
