YPSILANTI, Mich. — The University of Toledo women’s basketball team made two changes to the starting lineup Saturday at Eastern Michigan, but the same problem persisted for the Rockets.
As UT had done Wednesday at Akron, the Rockets threw away far too many possessions, turning over the ball 23 times in a 59-41 loss to the Eagles.
Toledo’s turnovers directly led to 25 Eastern Michigan points and helped create an early deficit from which the Rockets never recovered.
UT fell behind 30-10 and never led for the second straight game.
“That’s the first time I’ve seen our team act like that and totally lose our composure,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said.
