TOLEDO, Ohio –Toledo (8-11, 6-2 MAC) went the distance with Buffalo (16-4, 6-2 MAC) in Mid-American Conference volleyball action for a second-straight match, but the Rockets prevailed on Saturday to end their weekend with a victory.
Saturday's match followed a similar script to Friday's match, though the ending changed in Toledo's favor. After winning the first two sets by scores of 25-19 and 25-23, respectively, the Rockets stumbled in the third and fourth sets. Buffalo won the third set, 25-21, before winning the fourth set handily, 25-15, to force a fifth frame. Toledo squandered an early lead but, facing an 11-8 deficit, dug in its heels and came back to win, 15-13, to come away with a big conference victory.
