The Rockets are currently in seventh place in the overall MAC standings with five regular-season contests remaining.
If the MAC Tournament started before Saturday's divisional match-up, UT would be the No. 7 seed and host No. 10 seed Western Michigan (8-16, 2-11 MAC) in a first-round contest on Monday, March 11.
