Toledo, Ohio— The Toledo baseball team took down Purdue Fort Wayne on Tuesday, 13-8, in its final home game of the 2019 season.
The Rockets trailed, 8-6, entering the bottom of the sixth, but scored six runs in that inning to take the lead for good. Sophomore had a career day, going 3-for-5 at the plate with a career-high five RBIs. Freshman went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, and fellow freshmen and both drove in two runs, scored twice, and walked twice.
Five pitchers saw time for Toledo, with freshmen and combining for three scoreless innings and six strikeouts to end the game.
