CANCUN, Mexico – The University of Toledo women's basketball team shot its way to victory on Thursday evening, defeating Idaho State 79-58 in Thanksgiving Day action at the Cancun Challenge.
The Rockets (3-1) shot 51.8 percent from the field on Thursday, making 29-of-56 shots from the floor and connecting on 10-of-19 shots from beyond the arc.
"I'm really proud of our players," head coach Tricia Cullop said. "Quinesha Lockett had a heck of a game, but I really was proud of everybody. Idaho State was an NCAA Tournament team last year, it's not easy to beat a tournament team on the road like this.
