Toledo, Ohio— The Toledo baseball team opened its series with Central Michigan on Friday and came away with a 4-3 comeback win.
Trailing by one entering the bottom of the eighth, the Rockets manufactured a couple runs to take a late lead and secure their fourth straight win. Freshman Ryan Thompson drove in the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly to left field, one of his two RBIs on the day. Sophomore John Servello went 3-for-3 and senior Brad Boss went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three runs scored.
Freshman Darryn Davis was instrumental in Toledo's offensive attack on Friday, despite not recording an official at-bat.
