Since the University of Toledo football team was last acquainted with Fresno State, the Bulldogs have completed quite the turnaround.
In 2016, a hapless Fresno State team visited the Glass Bowl and Toledo was a rude host in a 52-17 rout.
That season, the Bulldogs stumbled to a 1-11 overall record and swift changes were made as Fresno State hired former Cal coach Jeff Tedford to take over the reins of the program.
As swift as the changes were made, the results followed. Last year, in Tedford’s first campaign as head coach, Fresno State won 10 games, lost in the Mountain West title game to Boise State, and earned a Hawaii Bowl win over Houston.
