TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team extended its winning streak to three games on Tuesday with a 7-2 victory over in-state foe Youngstown State at Scott Park.
The Rockets (12-11) halted nearly every Youngstown State rally, stranding 13 YSU baserunners on the afternoon. UT also took advantage of three Penguin errors and saw solid pitching from six different hurlers to capture its third straight win.
"We did what we needed to do today and got the win," head coach Rob Reinstetle said. "I thought we pitched well in spots and got out of some jams, and our defense was really good too.
