Toledo, Ohio— The Toledo baseball team dropped its rubber match with Ball State on Sunday, 9-1.
The Rockets again fell behind early to the Cardinals for the third time this weekend. Ball State scored twice in the top of the first and once in the top of the second to take a 3-0 lead. UT scored its only run of the game in the bottom half of the second to close the gap a bit, but the Cardinals broke the game open with six runs combined in the fifth and sixth frames.
Freshman Chris Meyers had two of Toledo's three hits on Sunday, with senior Casey Gose collecting the other.
