Neither does the University of Toledo men’s basketball team.
What took place from Nov. 21 through Dec. 2 feels like a season ago, as the Rockets won their third straight game on Wednesday, surviving a never-give-up performance from Marshall 88-87.
“This team just finds a way to gut it out,” said Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk, who won the 400th game in his career. “They’re resilient.”

What looked like a routine, stress-free nonconference win turned into a 40-minute white-knuckler, nearly ending with a disastrous blown six-point lead in the final 22 seconds.
