BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team faced off against archrival Bowling Green on Wednesday at the Stroh Center, but wound up on the losing end of an 88-76 decision in the Battle of I-75 presented by Cooper Tires.
The Rockets (12-4, 3-2 MAC) played the Falcons (15-2, 4-1 MAC) close in the first half, but BGSU opened up a double-digit lead early in the second half and didn't look back. Toledo committed an uncharacteristic 22 turnovers on Wednesday and couldn't find an answer for Bowling Green's Allison Day, who scored a game-high 31 points. The 88 points are the most UT has allowed in a game this season.
