SOUTH BEND, Ind. — In a game the University of Toledo men's basketball team had all but won in regulation, the Rockets could not regroup after a stunning late sequence sent the game to overtime and fell 64-62 to Notre Dame on Thursday night at Purcell Pavilion.
Clinging to a 55-52 lead with 11 seconds left in regulation, Toledo chose to foul Notre Dame. Prentiss Hubb missed the front end of a one-and-one from the line.
Notre Dame's Dane Goodwin grabbed the rebound and the ball was eventually kicked out to T.J. Gibbs who missed the 3-point try.
