CHARLESTON, SC – The Toledo women's tennis team won the doubles point but fell 5-2 to defending Big South Champion Charleston Southern on Tuesday in the first match of its spring break trip this week.
Toledo started strong with a 1-0 match lead after winning the doubles team point, but the remainder of the match was a battle with the Buccaneers. CSU turned the tables and won the top three courts, all in two sets, to put itself at match point. Sophomore won her first set 6-4 against Brenda Yoris at the No. 5 court, but the Buccaneer countered to take the second set at 6-4 and the tiebreaker at 6-2 to clinch the match for the home team.
