The University of Toledo football team steamrolled Ball State in the first quarter on the way to a 45-13 victory on Wednesday night at the Glass Bowl.
The Rockets (5-4, 3-2 MAC) to a 21-0 lead midway through the opening quarter before Ball State (3-7, 2-4 MAC) scored for the first time early in the second quarter.
Toledo running backs Bryant Koback and Art Thompkins combined for three rushing touchdowns, and the Rockets got their first defensive touchdown of the season.
Sophomore Eli Peters earned the start in place of junior Mitch Guadagni, who injured his shoulder against Western Michigan in the previous game.
